Lee
Lee Roy Selmon has a background that is a combination of family scholarships football with community service. The first family is his youngest of nine children of Lucious and Jessie Selmon. The family lived on a farm at Eufala, Oklahoma. Two football. He is one of three brothers who participated in the football team of Oklahoma. All three were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey & Lee Roy started for one season in 1973. Lee Roy was named the best offensive lineman in the United States by Outland and Lombardi Awards. During his three-year tenure as the Oklahoma's quarterback of choice, the Sooners went 32-1-1 and won two national titles. In 1975, he received his third scholarship, and was named a National Football Foundation scholar-athlete. Selmon was awarded a degree from Education. Lee Roy's fourth volunteer service included ten hours per week in volunteer work during college. Then he settled in Tampa after college, playing for the Buccaneers for a period of nine years, and was three-times all-pro. His career in business began. His first job was as an Account Relations Manager at First Florida Bank, Tampa. He has worked previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There's no surprise that The Junior Chamber of Commerce designated him as one of the top 10 young people in America. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in the height department and weighed 256 lbs as a college player he captained the 1975 team. In 1993 he joined his current position at University of South Florida as associate director of athletics. In 1988, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. In addition, he was inducted into an appearance in the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented its Distinguished American Award for 1989 to Lucious Selmon, Sr. Henry Bellmon, the governor of Oklahoma gave it to them.
